I have had THE MOST AMAZING two weeks in Japan!

We lived in Ikebukuro for a week, went to Nagano for 3 days and then back to Tokyo to stay at Disneyland for 4 days! There was loads of shopping and sightseeing and interesting food (horse meat anyone?). At the end of the trip I was extremely worried that my suitcase would burst. I was praying for it to be under the weight limit.

This is the tiniest snapshot of what I experienced. It was beautiful! The definitive highlight of the trip was the snow in Nagano. I've never seen snow before and it was magnificent. I will truly remember the feeling forever.

It's a shame that the photo resolution doesn't translate to the blog post. I decided to use my sister's shockproof and waterproof camera on this trip instead of my dslr just from a convenience point of view, but next time I'm definitely bringing it!

Mt Fuji from the plane!

beautiful Japanese temple

coffee tasting experience!

first time ever seeing fluffy, beautiful snow

there were 3 outdoor onsen in our traditional Japanese inn. I have never ever experienced the feeling of being extremely hot and extremely cold at the same time

these are quite literally the best cheese tarts in the world

we were paddling in a swan, on a lake, in the middle of Tokyo

view over Tokyo (and Mt Fuji in the distance) from the hotel

beautiful desserts!

panorama of Mt Fuji! It was so amazing

disney!

this parade was hands-down the craziest thing I have ever seen. 40 minutes of a continuous line of floats, every single one covered in lights

an epic indiana jones disneysea ride

like a castle to disneyland, the volcano is to disneysea. This was another epic journey to the centre of the earth ride

finally landing, Brisbane from birds-eye view

And there you have it! It was so hard to pick out my absolute favourite parts of the trip but I did it. So many lovely memories. I can't wait to go back again and visit other parts of Japan, or even visit in Spring to see the cherry blossoms.

Until the next trip, sayounara!
