Who watches lots of TV? ME. Who has better things to do? ME. Who can't help but procrastinate? ME.
TV shows have become a major contributor to pop culture in the digital technology era. It is becoming easier and more convenient to stream and watch whatever we desire from our personal devices, and the process of consuming media is faster than ever before (thanks media and society subject for the knowledge).
However, allow me to introduce a list of my favourite TV shows that I've either started or finished watching that I super enjoy. Let's begin:
Friends

WHAT A CLASSIC. I feel like watching all the 10 seasons is an accomplishment to be proud of. I mean, that’s a lot of episodes, a whole 236 of them.
I just love that the show is about a group of friends (obviously) that live closely and share in each other's mishaps of adulthood. When I watched it, probably about a year ago now, I absolutely adored the 90s fashion and aesthetic. Trends are definitely coming back, especially inspired by Rachel's style [I wish I could dress like her].

This hilariously comedic sitcom has no rival, and stands out as one of the most iconic influences in modern pop culture.

"So no one told you life was gonna be this way..."
Merlin
Where to begin with this amazing show. The characters and the scenery are my favourite. We actually visited the castle it was filmed at which is in a cute French village. It was so interesting to walk around and appreciate its history but also recognise the sets of scenes.

Any Merthur shippers? They are THE main reason I watch Merlin. They are literally friendship goals, you know. Saving each other from imminent death situations half the time and the rest is snarky remarks from Arthur and witty sarcasm from Merlin. The perfect combination.
Sherlock
Sherlock has the best cinematography and storylines ever. You never know what to expect and when there's a crucial plot twist it really hits you square in the face.

It’s just amazing that Benedict Cumberbatch is the perfect choice to play Holmes, and Martin Freeman for Watson. They make such an entertaining pair on-screen.
Downton Abbey

I have to insist one thing before I explain my love for this show - don’t judge it before you watch at least 2 episodes. I admit, I watched episode 1 on the plane and actually fell asleep. Two years later I tried watching it again, sat through the first and second episodes, and I fell in love! I've only watched the first three seasons so far, and I'm still enjoying it.
What I love most is firstly the costumes. They are so luxurious and lavish. And I also just enjoy the time period it is set in. Watching the traditions and lives of privileged English heiresses is not so boring if there is a sarcastic grandmother and trouble-seeking servants. As a side note, Dan Stevens is also in it so… that might also contribute to the overall greatness of this TV drama.

P.S. this has been my ship for over 2 seasonsssss
Once Upon a Time
If you enjoy Disney, this is right up your alley. This show is where stories meet our modern society. Favourite character on the show is EASILY Captain Hook [aka Killian Jones]. Wow is he a fav.

As the seasons continued, the same storyline was reused over and over again, so it did become a little repetitive. Overall though, OUAT is pretty interesting as they introduce new characters and villains each season.

Grimm

It's about a guy who can see creature things that no one else can, and he has to kill the bad ones. There's my one sentence summary that sounds pathetic. Still only one season through but Monroe and Nick are such great buds. It's so great to watch :')
Supergirl

I loved the two seasons of Supergirl. Each episode was fresh, relevant and super enjoyable. My sister and I really fangirled over it, so it was really fun to watch too.
The main character Kara literally lived the dream life I wish I could have. She is confident, unafraid and compassionate. She works as a journalist, has an aesthetic apartment and has superpowers. THE biggest inspiration ever.

It's the Flash with Supergirl and it's the cutest thing ever <3
Shadowhunters
Although some actors I can't stand (Clary and Jace), everyone else is an exact representation of what I pictured the characters to be so that's why I watch it. Towards the end of the second season the screenwriters disregarded the books completely so the characters and the [good] actors are the reason I watch it!

I love the Shadowhunter universe so much. If it existed I would die to be a Shadowhunter. They are just the coolest - athletic, beautiful, strong. Wow am I full of unrealistic dreams.

Malec, thank you for existing.
Teen Wolf
I really do watch it for Dylan O'Brien. His character literally lifts the mood of the whole show and adds that needed bit of humour to offset the dark storyline.

The one thing I don’t understand is why haven't any of the characters moved out of that creepy town 'Beacon Hills'. They could have lead safe and stress-free lives? Hmmmm they probably love the thrill living life on the edge or something, good for them.

Wow, this list turned out to be way longer than I thought!
Thanks for sticking around, and I hope you get to watch some of these TV shows too. Everyone needs to binge watch something!
All the love N <3
