It’s time to get packing!

What the family have planned is a four week trip halfway around the world to see family and talk some Russian.

Itinerary:

4 days tokyo

2 days moscow

5 days st peterburg

5 days kazan

11 days moscow

Dayum am I excited.

Of course what this huge trip entails is a heap of flying, 19 hours one way. And I am not feeling too good about planes. So to ease this feeling, I reckon packing your carry-on well is essential. You need it to be light, easy to carry and all your essentials in there.

So we start with the bag. I'm taking a spacious, light backpack that has a multitude of zippers and compartments. It's a trusty bag, but the worst thing about it is its shapelessness. If you don't fill it up, it hangs loose and opens haphazardly. But I guess I'll deal with it.

Next are the comfort essentials. Deodorant. A must. Comfy socks to walk around on the plane and to let your feet rest. Earplugs, I mean, just in case. Toothbrush to keep you feeling fresh. And most importantly lip balm. The air is so dry on planes, moisture is essential.

I didn't add any hand creams or body lotions or other moisturisers because my goal this trip is to pack light. I'm not the kind of person that moisturises my hands on a normal basis so I'm not bringing it in the slightest case I'll use it during the trip. I'm sure I won't miss it much!

Entertainment! Not gonna lie, I've loaded up my iPad with hundreds of books to read just in case I get time to. I've downloaded heaps of Spotify songs as well, why not use the premium advantage? Earphones - self explanatory (movie watching). Charger - electronic devices need that juice.

Accessories that I'm taking with me include my shoulder bag, that I can also use as a clutch, the watch that I always wear these days and the wallet. Money spending $$$

Finally, I'm just chucking in my make-up bag so I can touch up on the go and keep it safe from too many bumps in the luggage area.

Phew. I have definitely tried to pack light, and hopefully I will thank myself later.

Since we're leaving, I definitely won't have time to update the website and logo. It's still at the bare minimum, but hopefully during the trip I'll be able to dig deep in my brain for a super duper name for the blog and afterwards, get on top of all the categories and sections I wanted to initiate.

Wishing a happy holiday season and lots of love! N <3
