It's uni break this week! There's finally time to catch up on assignments, and get up to date with so much study content. The past six weeks have gone by at a crazy pace.

One mid-semester exam done; 3 online quizzes done but 3 essay assignments coming up; another 7 online quizzes; a group workshop and 4 final exams left this semester, so definitely not there yet.

So over to fashion, in this post I'm showcasing some of the many trends that have been spotted around campus during humid and sunny Brisbane days. Enjoy!

This is such a staple 90s trend, and it looks like it has made a comeback in 2018 uni fashion.

It's so perfect when you want to wear a short, perhaps revealing dress [that might be better suited for a night out] as a casual day outfit. Throwing on a t-shirt underneath and pairing the outfit with some sneakers, it is perfect for a casual and productive study day at uni.

To be honest, denim skirts had their major comeback last year, so not really this semester, but they're still worn so often and I can understand why!

It's a super easy piece to mix and match with any top and any shoe.

Dress it up with an off-the-shoulder shirt and sandals, or go casual with sneakers and a t-shirt!

Definitely one of my favourite uni outfits because of how versatile the denim skirt can be and how easy it is to get up in the early mornings and throw together an outfit!

I have lost count of how many Birkenstock shoes I have spotted this semester. I swear every second person is wearing a pair (don't quote me on that). I honestly don't remember seeing so many last year, at all. Maybe it's because I'm conscious of spotting them? Who knows!

However, as I've been told, they are super comfy.

They may not be the most elegant shoes, but comfort definitely wins over class for uni days.

Black leather backpacks are EVERYWHERE! (Obviously I got myself one too :)

I have been desperate to find an elegant, laptop-friendly backpack for uni this year, and I found one! (Link if you're interested in it below)

I have to say that I love the laptop sleeve and the pen holders in it, but the divider makes the packing process difficult and in turn, the backpack a little cumbersome.

But aside from that, I love the gold details and it's perfect size!

I am so on board with this trend, I now carry my trusty backpack with me to uni every day! It's elegant, great to carry when you have long days (since it spreads the weight over two shoulders, unlike handbags!) and fits just what I need for a successful day at uni.

I adore jewellery, so the choker necklaces that so many are wearing are beautiful!

I love the effect that layering necklaces gives, so dainty and elegant - I am officially on the hunt for gold chokers!

Absolutely perfect for any outfit to either add glam to the casual or to uplift an already elegant look.

Thank you so much for reading, and let me know what trends you're loving in the comments!

All the love, N <3
