It's study time! But ugh I can't. Not in this mess. As the term goes on, the array of stuff grows on my desk and I neglect to shove it back to the right place. I mean, ease of access! Everything that I need is on my desk, it's great! BUT is it really? Is it worth the chaos and swarms of dust?

Now, I must say, I am a bit ashamed that it's grown to this point. Different bits and pieces adding just a little disorder to my life. It also discourages me from much-needed study, so I unwillingly get distracted by social media (which I hate with a passion and will discuss in a later post).

Just to get you into cleaning mode, here are a few snapshots of my clutter

To start off, I cleaned my desk drawers:

De-cluttered my sad wall:

It really does look very sad here

And here is the finished product of my desk:

So when I need to study, I actually can!

Yes, it's not very tumblr or pinterest (yet!), but clean, I guess. And functional.

Here are three of my tips for a neat desk space

  • keep a notebook/writing pad on your desk for easy note jotting, and to avoid having paper scraps everywhere

  • have a coaster handy for drinks or water which can condensate onto your table

  • calendars are very helpful reference tools and keep you organised, so hang one above your study space

Hope you enjoyed this short and sweet update post and stay tidy, all the love N
