This weeks adventure was to Stradbroke Island and it was amazing! As a group of four, we explored the northern side of the island, specifically Point Lookout, and ended up walking a total of 10 kilometers. Even though we were removed from the premises of a restaurant for being underage, which left us with no lunch, we spent our time wandering beaches and walkways.

Later in the day I was somewhat forced into a Russian drama workshop and it blew up in my face, all my worst fears of talking in front of a large group and acting were re-lived :O I was enormously relieved when it was over. A great weight was lifted off my chest, for lack of a more creative expression.

Setting that horrible, scarring experience aside, it was the most beautiful day on a sandy blue island, and I will try as hard as I can to take my friends along to experience it with me next time.

A bit of an interesting picture, the camera facing the sun, and the sea looks darker and the sun is shining off the surface.

The seashore was lovely but the water was freezing

Out of the two almost identical images, I edited the last one. Although I don't want to edit my photographs, I am starting to realise the importance of digital manipulation. In an evolving world where almost anyone takes photos everyday, everyone can be a photographer. To set apart eye-catching images, resorting to digital manipulation is an idea. It's very interesting to see the difference and to think that just a tiny turn of a dial some way can make a difference to how we respond to the image. I understand that I tweaked this image very slightly, but nevertheless, it's something to keep in mind :)

So it was a great day, good company, and ultimately a great workout for the body and eyes after sitting holed up at home these holidays <3 All the love N
