Rome dreams

The capital of Italy, Rome is an amazing city with rich history and famous ancient architecture. I am longing to go there!

A large city with a population of over 4 million, Rome is la premiere dans l'Italie (oops that's French).

Here I've made a list of a few places to visit while visiting:

• the Colosseum. Perhaps the most famous sight in Rome

• St Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. World's largest basilica of Christianity

• the Pantheon. A church in Rome.

• the Trevi Fountain. A sculpted 18th century fountain.

• the Galleria Borghese. An art museum containing Renaissance masterpieces.

• the Roman Forum. The excavated heart of Ancient Rome.

• the Palatine Hill. One of the most ancient parts of the city.

• the Sistine Chapel. The official residence of the Pope in Vatican City. It contains the fresco of Adam's creation by Michelangelo.

• the Villa Borghese Gardens. A public park with lavish landscape architecture.
