So, I needed some flats. Mama had a pair of loafers, so I may have taken them and worn them a few times.

I felt that they were missing something so you know what? I made it into a project! Why not :)

It took a few simple sewing steps, and with the help of mama, managed in only a couple of hours!

~ Inspired by this beauty made by Ted Baker ~

But the final design of the embellishment was definitely created with a Zara-esque twist and incorporated a more symmetrical look.

Enjoy a little photo story of the making:

First we played around with the pattern of the bow. Obviously the Ted Baker shoes were made as a whole, and for these, we needed to attach the extra embellishment to the shoe somehow. We had to make do.

Picking and choosing beads for the design (and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty happy with the simple design of the pattern): a triangle of crystals plus a slightly larger triangle of pearls.

After multitasking (by catching up on several tv shows and sewing) I finally finished attaching the bow!

It took a few hours and a few close calls to get it right, but we made it!

I wore it to church for Easter this weekend and they are THE perfect shoe if you need to stand for long periods of time, or need something formal and functional (with the added bonuses of comfort and sparkle hahaha)!

Might be a style edit coming with these soon...

Thanks for reading :)

All the love N <3
