As I recently discovered, James Street in New Farm is a bustling and stylish strip of a road that feels like it belongs in a different city [no offence Brisbane].

To help you navigate this beautiful place, I've made a must-visit list from a trip Maria and I went on (the two cousins adventuring in the city :)

Arc + Family

We first stopped at the cutest boutique decor store, with pastel pink and baby blue for days. Displays range from plants, painted pots for said plants, jewellery, crystals, mugs, rugs, notebooks, boxes and wall hangings.

Serving up so much aesthetic, Arc + Family is a must! You will definitely find something to your taste.

While you're there, why not indulge in a photoshoot with their signature pastel-pink store! The outside of the store features wooden panelling that is painted completely pink. Very very worth it for your instagram feed.

Sass & Bide

Further down the road, there are myriad shops to browse. One we stopped at was Sass & Bide, which served decor goals as well as amazing fashion aesthetic.

Autumn has finally hit Brisbane, making mornings colder and late nights chillier, so it's time to dust off the layers and stock up on new jackets. Sass & Bide is THE place to go for new season trends.

Maryon's

Featuring the likes of Nina Ricci, Aquazzura, Chloé and Stuart Weitzman, I wouldn't call this shoe store very budget friendly. Let's be honest, we only walked in to widow shop here :)

Definitely worth a look, even if you're not too ready to shell out $400 for a hyper stylish and luxury shoe.

Serves as high fashion inspiration and an aspirational goal to be a customer here (future me: take note).

Pottery Barn

Next stop, another home decor store, just behind Maryon's. The store is much larger than what meets the eye at the entrance.

I actually had no clue that Pottery Barn existed outside of the US, let alone in Brisbane. In fact, the only way I know about the store is because Rachel was obsessed with buying things from it in an episode of Friends... an example of the random-est things I remember from tv shows.

This store definitely embodies the dream 'beach home' vibe, and I can envision every piece of furniture in my future house.

Palace Centro Cinemas

After waltzing around James Street boutiques, why not catch a movie at Palace Centro? I would say that these cinemas are probably the best in Brisbane (there's another at the Barracks).

Grab some popcorn, an ice-cream perhaps, and take some time to relax and immerse yourself in another world.

Added bonus: Miss Jones cafe

Not exactly on James Street, but if you're feeling like a walk along J Street wasn't enough, or you haven't built up an appetite yet (which is unlikely :), you can embark on a 10 minute walk to the parallel Brunswick Street.

Here you'll find Miss Jones cafe, which has a mushroom avo toast to die for.

Definitely coming back for another brunch.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you take some time to adventure to James Street soon!

All the love N <3
